Well, I have to start by saying I am not a die-hard Coldplay fan. I was introduced to "A Rush of Blood to the Head" and it had me hooked. I have played that cd to death and it is one my favorite albums. "Clocks" is that type of song that sticks to your ribs and stays there, like good food on a cold day. However, I have not enjoyed this album at all. I thought that when I previewed it on iTunes, I would love it. I have now purchased it and feel I made a mistake. This album is for DIEHARD Coldplay fans; if you are not, buy "A Rush of Blood to the Head" and "Viva La Vida". Just my opinion from a very fussy music fan. Take what you want from this review and leave the rest. At least give it a listen before you buy it. Lyrics are good; "Paradise" is a beautiful song.

"MYLO XYLOTO" by Coldplay is a very good album. Coldplay creatively took chances with the songs on this album with impeccable results. Every song on this album is great. However, my personal two favorite songs on this cd are "Princess of China" and "Paradise". "Princess of China" is a great track that features Rihanna and symbolizes the meaning of the exciting journey of being in a romantic relationship. My overall favorite musical gem is "Paradise" because I personally resonate with it. In addition, "Paradise" seems to symbolize a joyful concept of creating a happier and more Utopian world for the self and those in the surrounding environment. "MYLO XYLOTO" is most likely to be enjoyed by many who enjoy any of the Coldplay musical tracks.

From "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" on, this disc confirms, sadly, my long-standing suspicion that ColdPlay is a pop-band with lots of pretentiousness but too little substance... clearly in it for the $$ and celebrity.
Sad, because Parachutes WAS a very good disc.
