For someone who has not already bought Greatest Hits 1 and then 2, this is the collection to get. Not only are almost all of the big hits from both those collections included here, but the sound quality is louder and better. Note About the Sound Quality: Someone posted a complaint about the sound of certain songs, which worried me... I checked it out, compared it to previous Greatest Hits CD's and also to the individual album CD's. I think that person was complaining about the previous Greatest Hits CD's and NOT this one. Greatest Hits 1 is very quiet and not a clean/clear as this one, so maybe the dropouts are on THAT CD. There are no dropouts on this CD on the songs stated by the other reviewer and the sound is louder and clearer, with maybe too much highs sometimes. Overall I think the individual album CD's sounded best because they had the volume without being too loud but were... Mostly from Tom cruise dancing in his under ware to "Old Time Rock n' Roll" but huge none the less. I saw him on his "Like a Rock" tour and he (like Springsteen) really knows how to put on a show. This collection does an excellent job of getting all his best tracks together. Very good remastering job! The only reason I am giving it four stars is because the second disc does have some crap on it. "Shakedown" I could have easily gone the rest of my life without hearing again but besides that there are no other painfully bad tracks on either disc. Booklet contains lyrics and full credits for each song. It's nice to see an artist do that now a days since most don't even credit them on the regual releases let alone a greatest hits. If you like Jackson Brown, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac you will probably like this.Interesting story about "Downtown Train".
